What is CRISworks?
CRISworks is New Zealand's first real-time, internet-based commercial trade debtor credit reporting system. It holds over 3.5 million debtor records and covers 95% of Building Supplies industry customers, plus more than 35 other sectors.
Use it to assess a customer's creditworthiness and keep track of their trading values and payment patterns.
I only need a one-off credit report on a company
Use CheckMate. Search for the company, enter your details and pay online by debit or credit card. One-off reports are $45.
Can you report on businesses outside New Zealand?
Yes. Global credit reports come through our partnership with Creditsafe, and Australian commercial credit reports through our partnership with CreditorWatch.
Can you manage our PPSR registrations?
You can manage them yourself in PPSRplus, our portal for the Companies Office Personal Property Securities Register, with bulk upload and automatic monitoring of Companies Office changes. Or our team can handle registration, renewals and compliance for you as a managed service.
Can customers apply for credit with us online?
Yes. ApplyPlus lets your customers complete credit applications fully online, branded to your business. Ask us about ApplyPlus.

How do I log in to CRISworks or PPSRplus?
Can I check a director, sole trader or individual?
Yes. Our consumer credit reporting uses Equifax One Score reports, which predict the likelihood of an individual becoming 90+ days past due on repayments. It makes it easier to extend credit to directors and sole traders with confidence.
How can I be alerted when a customer's situation changes?
AlertMe monitors your customers throughout your trading relationship and notifies you of warning signs, including:
- A change of name or status at the NZ Companies Office
- A director resignation
- Public notices, defaults and court judgments
What is a FINZscore and how do I get one?
FINZscore is New Zealand's first financial viability rating system for the construction industry. Builders are graded from A (Strong) to E (High Risk), benchmarked against industry performance.
